AM-Win Support Solutions

AM-Win Letter maintenance

We have asked our support team to nominate the top 3 support call questions for the month and have published tutorials that provide the answers to those questions. For those who fly the wings of their AM-Win please bear with us as each of these tutorials have been published before.

How to write off a bad debt - includes general ledger masks.

It is important to write off your bad debts at the end of a financial year because if you don't you will be paying tax on the profit made on the sale even though you didn't receive the money. Not only that but it shows as money that is owed or an asset to the business when in reality there is no hope of realising that asset.

GST Payments

When you are paying to the ATO your BAS or GST money, the best way to enter this payment into the system so it gets posted to all of the relevant ledgers would be to use the GST Payments Screen. You should never use a journal entry.

How to handle internal work

Sometimes you need to invoice parts and labour and other charges to a job item or customer which is in fact owned by you.

This will occur when you work on your own job item or you have your own fleet of vehicles / assets that you maintain. You may also use internal customers for warranty, advertising, sponsorship and a number of other reasons.

When you charge yourself for the goods and services provided to yourself it seems pointless to have to also pay yourself and then pay GST on your payment, which you then claim back. Sounds complicated? Well it was until now.

Jokes

The meal was a great success.

She wanted to serve her guests mushroom-smothered steak, but she had no mushrooms and no time to buy them.

Her husband suggested, "Why don't you go pick some of the mushrooms that are growing wild down by the stream?

"No, some wild mushrooms are poisonous"

"Well, I see varmints eating them and they're OK."

So she picked a bunch and washed, sliced and sautéed them for her dinner.

Then she went out on the back porch and gave Spot, their dog, a double handful. Spot ate every bite.

All morning long, she watched the dog. The wild mushrooms hadn't affected him after a few hours, so she decided to use them.

The meal was a great success.

After everyone had finished, her daughter came in and whispered in her ear, "Mum, Spot is dead."

Trying to keep her head about her, she left the room as quickly as possible, called the doctor and told him what had happened.

The doctor said, "That's bad, but I think we can take care of it. I'll call for an ambulance and I'll be there as quickly as I can.

We'll give everyone enemas and we'll pump out their stomachs and everything will be fine. Just keep them calm."

Before long they started to hear the sirens as the ambulance tore down the road

The Paramedics and the doctor had their suitcases, syringes, and a stomach pump. One by one, they took each person into the bathroom, gave them an enema, and pumped out their stomach.

After the last one was done the doctor came out and said, "Everything will be okay now," and with that he left.

The hosts and the guests were all weak and exhausted sitting around the living room when the daughter came in and said to her mum, "I can't believe that guy!"

 "What guy?"

"You know, that one who ran over Spot, he never even slowed down".

Excuse me my dear

A woman was sure that her husband was cheating on her, and having an affair with the maid. So she laid down a trap.

One evening she suddenly sent the maid home for the weekend and didn't tell the husband.

That night when they went to bed, the husband gave the old story: "Excuse me my dear, my stomach aches", and went to the bathroom.

The wife promptly went into the Maid's bed. She switched the lights off.

When he came in silently, he wasted no time or words but had his way with her.

When he finished and was still panting, the wife said: "You didn't expect to find me in this bed, did you?"

And then she switched on the light. "No madam", said the Gardener.

Tell me why

"Dad, I was away for a week. Yesterday I sent a text> to my wife I'd be home that night, and when I got into my room I found my wife in another man's arms.

 "Why, Dad? Tell me why!"

Dad kept silent for a few minutes, then coolly said, "Maybe, Son, she didn't get the text".
