Computer Security
eBay to ask eBay users to change passwords
eBay has said beginning later today it will be asking eBay users to change their passwords because of a cyberattack that compromised a database containing encrypted passwords and other non-financial data. After conducting extensive tests on its networks, the company said it has no evidence of the compromise resulting in unauthorized activity for eBay users, and no evidence of any unauthorized access to financial or credit card information, which is stored separately in encrypted formats. However, changing passwords is a best practice and will help enhance security for eBay users.

Microsoft and Adobe have issued their regular monthly security updates
Microsoft and Adobe have issued their regular monthly ecurity updates addressing a range of important and critical vulnerabilities.
Affected products include Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Office, and Adobe Flash Player, Acrobat and Reader.
Microsoft’s updates do not address Windows XP or Office 2003. It has stopped supporting these systems.
It is possible some of the vulnerabilities identified by this month’s security update are evident in unsupported Windows XP or Office 2003 systems. Cyber criminals can now target these vulnerabilities. You should move to a newer operating system as soon as possible.
Microsoft offers a lot of good advice and suggestions on its website, including more detail on the risks of staying on XP, how you can change, and other FAQs.

Adobe’s security bulletins are available on its website.
You can also check the version of Flash you currently have. If you have more than one browser, you should update Flash for each of these.

Open Control panel from the start menu and select "Windows Update" Different versions of Windows may vary.
Select change settings
Click and the following screen will open. Select your preferences and click OK.

Divers help a dolphin who "asked" for help.
We're going to depart from our usual type of whoops video this month to publish a video that's been around for a while.
Dolphins may be one of the planet's smartest creatures, but one thing they lack are opposable thumbs. However, they are clever enough to recognise that, in a pinch, they can approach humans to get help with those hard to reach spots.
In this video, a bottle nosed dolphin with limited mobility due to a hook and fishing line restricting a pectoral fin, approaches some divers for help. Diving instructor Keller Laros noticed that the dolphin was hanging around them, and that it wasn't able to move freely. Closer inspection revealed the ocean debris lodged in the fin.
Thankfully, the dolphin not only allowed the divers to attempt to work the line and hook out of the fin, but actually shifted its body to make it easier.

The Irish Furniture Dealer.
Murphy, a furniture dealer from Dublin, decided to expand the line of furniture in his store, so he decided to go to Paris to see what he could find.
After arriving in Paris,he visited with some manufacturers and selected a line that he thought would sell well back home. To celebrate the new acquisition, he decided to visit a small bistro and have a glass of wine.
As he sat enjoying his wine, he noticed that the small place was quite crowded, and that the other chair at his table was the only vacant seat in the house.
Before long, a very beautiful young Parisian girl entered the restaraunt and after looking around came to his table,
She asked him something in French (which Murphy could not understand), so he motioned to the vacant chair and invited her to sit down.
He tried to speak to her in English, but she did not speak his language. After a couple of minutes of trying to communicate with her, he took a napkin and drew a picture of a wine glass and showed it to her. She nodded, so he ordered a glass of wine for her.
After sitting together at the table for a while, he took another napkin, and drew a picture of a plate with food on it,and she nodded. They left the bistro and found a quiet cafe that featured a small group playing romantic music.
They ordered dinner, after which he took another napkin and drew a picture of a couple dancing.She nodded, and they got up to dance. They danced until the cafe closed and the band was packing up.
Back at their table, the young lady took a napkin and drew a picture of a four-poster bed.
To this day, Murphy has no idea how she figured out he was in the furniture business
Cletus & Billy Bob
Cletus is passing by Billy Bob 's hay barn one day when, through a gap in the door, he sees Billy Bob doing a slow and sensual striptease in front of an old John Deere tractor.
Buttocks clenched, he performs a slow pirouette, and gently slides off first the right strap of his overalls, followed by the left. He then hunches his shoulders forward and in a classic striptease move, lets his overalls fall down to his hips, revealing a torn and frayed plaid shirt.
Then, grabbing both sides of his shirt, he rips it apart to reveal his stained T-shirt underneath. With a final flourish, he tears the T-shirt from his body, and hurls his baseball cap onto a pile of hay.
Having seen enough, Cletus rushes in and says, "What the world're ya doing, Billy Bob ?"
"Good grief, Cletus, ya scared the bejeebers out of me," says an obviously embarrassed Billy Bob ..
"But me 'n the wife been havin trouble lately in the bedroom d'partment, and the therapist suggested I do something sexy to a tractor."

On a bitterly cold winter morning a husband and wife in Dublin were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the Snow ploughs can get through. "So the wife went out and moved her car.
A week later
while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer said, "We are
expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the
odd-numbered side of the street, so the snow ploughs can get through. "The
wife went out and moved her car
again.
The next week they are
again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12
to 14 inches of snow today.
You must park...." Then the electric power went
out. The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she
said, "I don't
know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on
so the snow ploughs can get through?"
The husband replied, "Why don't you just leave the car in the garage this time."
